AISHLIN HARRISON
Director of Operations and Creative Director
What excites me most about RedCrow is being able to be a part of a company from the beginning, especially one in a new field for me, where I have no other option but to grow and take on new challenges.
Growing up with creative parents taught me that I don't always have to take the path expected of me but rather the one that excites and speaks to me personally.
I studied audio production and engineering at the Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts. Moving to New York right after high school forced an independence and adaptability I couldn't imagine myself without.
But, my truest passion is singing. I've been singing since I was a kid both professionally and for myself. Music is what makes me stay sane.
The RedCrow team is dynamic and encouraging I look forward to continuing to learn and work in this start up environment. I'm excited to lend my artistic eye in a format that is outside of my comfort zone. As an artist I've always been very unapologetic with my work, I'm excited to use my creativity in a different context, rather than taking paint to a canvas I'm working with others bouncing ideas off one another for results crafted by the whole team.
For my college thesis I tried to start my own company. I went through all the motions of writing a business and marketing plan and then pitching it to investors and advisors to get funding. I got great feedback from my professors and industry professionals but in the end could not secure funding. This experience showed me how hard it is to find motivated and strategic partners willing to fund a good idea. At RedCrow, I have the opportunity to help entrepreneurs overcome these obstacles every day.
